Another Fantastic weekend for our AMMA TEAM!

It's been another FULL on weekend with our competition team and our kids.

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Grading:

Saturday morning saw our kids BJJ team sit their grading. It was a mixed 'tip' and 'belt' upgrade day, the kids have been preparing for this day for a little while now.

As always, the kids did an amazing job and it was a pleasure to see the future grapplers of AMMA wearing their new coloured belts and new tips. Congratulations to all that graded.

3 out of  3 for our Muay Thai team!

BOOM! That is all that we can say. Saturday night was the night that the 3 warriors have been training for. The fighters were fit, healthy and ready to BANG!

From 'Coach Brett':
Winning team. Team Amma Gym.
3 fights 3 wins. Tarmizi Zain winning on points after a 3 round war. Phillip Warwicker winning in the 1st round with a well timed block that broke his opponents shin and David Kriel defending his state title and stopping his opponent, who didn't come out for the 3rd round. Well done boys so proud of your effort!

Arnold BJJ Clasic

We traveled to Melbourne once again to compete at the 2016 Arnold BJJ Classic event.

The team dropped down to three for the trip, a few of the guys had to pull out due to other commitments or injury.

Our team consisted of 2 Purple Belts and a Brown Belt - a strong team from AMMA.

I'm proud of these guys, they put in a great effort and came back with the results.

100% success rate of grabbing the Gold Medals!

The Weekend that was...

The TEAM at AMMA had their hands full this weekend.

Our classes ran as per usual on Saturday - the club was packed and everyone was putting in 100% effort into their training.

The Muay Thai team then traveled to participate in the 'Inter Club Sparring Day' with 10 of our team jumping in to represent. The guys kicked off at 12:00 p.m. and finished at near 7:30 p.m.
For a full list & lots of photo's head to the Facebook page - AMMA GYM.

Sunday saw a small team from AMMA jump into the WA State No Gi titles (the first of 2) and we were pleased to see so many of our warriors take home the Gold. Our kids, Juniors and adults all put on an impressive display of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Our 2nd 8 week challenge came to an end on Sunday with the final weigh in taking place at midday.
The results were amazing and it was so good to see the people that put the effort in get the results that they deserved. We look forward to hearing the stories and looking forward to our next group starting off in April.

 - Well done and thanks again for all the support and effort that you all put in, we are proud of you.
